Gilbey's is open every day, for lunch and dinner, as well as, since very recently, afternoon tea. Bliss! Having started at Eton in 1975, we (Bill, Caroline, Michael & Lin Gilbey) acquired this celebrated old tea shop (The Willow Tree) in Old Amersham in 1989. After extensive alterations Gilbey's was born. We are situated in the heart of the historic Chilterns' market town of Old Amersham. The listed building (the former grammar school c.1624) is steeped in history and is the setting for our stylish yet intimate restaurant, which includes a stunning first-floor Private Dining Room and a very attractive garden. We are all dedicated to giving the very best quality and value throughout and are lucky enough to have a team who share these aspirations.
